We are excited to offer this 1971 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow I. Being a later series one Shadow it has a fabulous mix of early Shadow simplicity such as doing without the headlamp brushes and also having wing mirrors actually mounted on the wings rather than the doors, they may be a tad harder to use but they make up for it in character and charm. It also benefits from the later 6.75 V8 introduced the year before, as opposed to the earlier 6.2 V8, giving greater torque and a smoother power delivery.

This particular motor car presents beautifully having had a full bare metal respray in 2008 (with a photographic album detailing each step) and seemingly has been kept in a cocoon ever since as the paint work remains in remarkable condition today. Finished in Silver Mink with Blue Grey leather interior, it simply looks splendid with the brightwork really finishing off the regal look.

As we know, every car has a story to tell and this one is no different. We all know the classic motor trade line of highlighting the number of lady owners a vehicle has had, well (in classic style) amongst the total of six keepers we can boast that the last two owners were ladies, however by ladies we mean Ladies, as in members of the aristocracy! Between them they have owned the car since 1997, with the latter owner having commissioned the respray detailed above.

The history file comes with two service books which have many service stamps between them, along with a further invoice from a Rolls-Royce specialist in 2024 for a service and replacement power steering pump. The car will go through a thorough checkover and service with us to ensure she is ready for her next owner.
